Experience
Lockdown has exposed privilege and has exposed vulnerability. We've learnt things about co-workers' lives of which we formerly had no notion. Do we remember these going forward? Do we forget them and resume the relative anonymity afforded by the common shared space of our previous working environments? Do we become more conscious of what we don't know about each other and treat each other differently, better, with more compassion for the uneven texture of life? The intrusion through Teams of daily work life into our home dwellings has had psychological as well as practical implications, and the former are trickier to unpack than the latter and may have a longer legacy. At least we can hopefully put paid to the idea of an equal normal as everyone's default point of reference.
