Family Time in Lockdown

Item

Title

Family Time in Lockdown

Experience

With my exams cancelled and my project pretty much finished before lockdown started I was faced with a slightly anticlimactic final push for my degree. It was a very different experience to spend my final term sitting at my desk in my bedroom typing my thesis for 3 hours a day rather than sweating in the library with my friends. I did find that life seemed to return to my pre-university days. With myself and my brother both living at home and not being allowed out, we started doing family activities with our free time, like going for picnics and walks, just like it was when I was 11! A VE day socially distanced barbecue was a nice way to meet the new neighbours but otherwise life has been very quiet in Mogador. I look forward to hopefully getting back to Oxford soon to celebrate finishing properly.
