Endings

It's really hard to get the sense of an ending with all the traditional markers taken away. Finishing my degree at Oxford was supposed to consist of three weeks eating ice cream and reading in the sun with all my friends, emotional goodbyes, celebrations. You can celebrate on your own, but it's a lot harder. You have to start making meaning out of smaller events, and realise what a large part you play in your own narrativisation.
