Empty Oxford
Experience
I am making a point of going out for a walk every day - something I didn't necessarily do pre-lockdown. Most of my walks are around the local streets or parks, but at the weekend I walked into the centre of Oxford, coming in through the University parks then walking down St Giles, Broad Street, under the Bridge of Sighs and along Queen's Lane. The weather has been so beautiful, and I knew the wysteria along Queen's lane would be looking its best so I wanted to have a look.
The streets that would normally be full of tourists were empty - standing in the middle of Broad street on the Saturday before the start of term, not a single car was moving.
Walking under the Bridge of Sighs usually involved photo-bombing dozens of tourists, but there was literally no-one.
