Story

Herbert Frederick Bowra was the third son of James and Adelaide Bowra of Murston, Kent. Herbert joined the 4th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment (55123) in March 1918 and died 15th April 1918, he was only in France for 10 days before he was killed. This was a double tragedy for his parents as Herbert’s younger brother Maurice Leonard had been killed in an accident aged 10 only a few months before on 15th December 1917.
