Story

Rayner started the war in the Infantry, possibly as a Fusilier, but was wounded and sent home. After that he joined the Royal Flying Corps.

Born 10/10/1880, he was 34 at the beginning of the war. Troplet is the grandfather of the contributor.

Troplet ended up with dementia and potentially suffered from shell shock.

After the war he became a clerk.

He was the youngest of five brothers. He was the only one to get married to his wife Rose.

He died in the 1960s.
