Story
Enlisted September 1914 and demobbed January 1919.
George William Burlingham was born October 16 1896, East Harling, Norfolk. Enlisted into Norfolk Regiment in the 2/4th Bn in September 1914. By late 1916 he was transferred to Private 29777 7th Bn Norfolk Regiment. He was awarded the Military Medal for action at Cambrai in November 1917 and a bar to the medal for action at Bouzin Court in March 1918. By May 1918 he was Commissioned as temporary 2nd Lieutenant.
George survived WW1 and died in 1975.
