Story
Robert Pringle Lothian Hamilton fought in both world wars, joining World War One at the age of 16 and then World War Two when he was 42.
He served with the Royal Scots during World War One, and was invalided at Gallipoli, receiving a bullet through the arm which left a scar that remained for the rest of his life. He then joined the Seaforth Highlanders.
During World War Two, he served with the Pioneer Corps and was killed in action in 1942. His daughter, Patricia Connell who provided this collection and describes her father as very patriotic, was ten-years-old at the time of his death, and was given a Bible to commemorate his passing.
