Story
Born in August 1899, Robert James joined up in August 1915 at the age of 15, informing the Army that he was 18. A member of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles – Regiment No: 265924), he saw action in France then Gallipoli, and was in Egypt in 1916. He was wounded at some stage of his service.
