John Cameron Robertson was an uncle. He was son of George Robertson and Jessie Robertson (née Carnie). He was born on 02/03/1887 at Midmill, Kintore, Scotland. He enlisted at Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 12/01/1915. He served with the 14th Battalion, Canadian Infantry. His service number was 404445. His brothers, William Alexander Robertson and James Charles Robertson, and cousins William James Carnie and John Carnie all served in the armed services in the First World War.

John Cameron Robertson died on 03/06/1916. He was buried at Hooge Crater Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. I hold his medals, including the Canadian memorial Cross (Silver Cross).
