Story
Robert Mackintosh Duncan was my great uncle. He was the son of Alexander and Mary Duncan, of Whitehillock, Cabrach, Banffshire. He was born on 25th March 1891. He was serving in battle in Northern France but went missing during the battle on 21st March 1918. He was later found dead by German soldiers and buried by the Germans on 10th April 1918 at Foisney-le-Petit. It is unknown how he died or where he is buried. He is commemorated at the Pozieres Memorial. His service number is 202866.

They and others who died in subsequent conflicts are commemorated at the Cabrach Memorial Cairn situated at Inverharroch in the Lower Cabrach and the war memorial at Cabrach Church.
