Story

Horace Lane was my grandfather. He was born in 1894 at Brixton, Surrey, England; his father was Robert Lane. In civilian life he was a carpet salesman. He enlisted in the Coldstream Guards on 2nd December 1914 at London. His regimental number was 14028. He served in the 3rd Battalion of the Coldstream Guards. On demobilization on 04/04/1919 he was transferred to the Reserves. We have his medals.
