Story

William Rollo was my uncle. In civilian life he was a bank clerk. He enlisted in the 2nd Scottish Horse in April 1914 and subsequently moved to the Black Watch and then the Royal Engineers. He was awarded the 1915 Star, Victory and British Medals. He died on 24 September 1919 of self-inflicted wounds and is buried in Leeds (Harehills) Cemetery.
