2 photographs of Jim’s father, George Paterson Keppie, who served with the Royal Scots, 9th battalion (“Dandy Ninth”) as a private, before becoming an officer and reaching the rank of Lieutenant. The photo was taken while the soldiers were awaiting orders/inspection by Sir Arthur Fitzroy Paget. Location unknown, on the Western Front.
