Story
John Herbert Moss was a horse breaker and went to Canada. He returned when WW1 broke out and worked as an assistant in an asylum probably in Middlesbrough. He joined the Duke of Wellington Regiment in 1915. He was awarded the DCM for attacking and capturing an enemy machine gun. See the citation in the London Gazette. John survived the war and was appointed Warrant Officer in 1919.
