Story

I bought this medal on ebay. I have not been able to find anything about it, yet thousands of them must have been struck.

One side states: 'This medal was struck in honour of Bradford's sons who so nobly responded & fought for King, Home and Country in the Grea European War commencing August 4th 1914.

The reverse shows Bradford town hall with a column of soldiers marching away from it, with the statement: 'Bradford's Army over 16,000.'

In July 1916 the editor of the Bradford Daily Telegraph reckoned that 30,000 Bradford men were in uniform. This leads me to suggest that the medal was struck between late 1914 and late 1915.

When?

1914-1915?
