Story

James served with the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He spent time in St Luke's Hospital, Bradford suffering from the effects of gas. He returned to the front where he was engaged in transporting ammunition to the front line. He survived the war and died at the age of 92.

Ronald Carr, son of James. Ronald completed his National Service in Germany and was then in the reserves for 8 years. Ronald remains active as a Royal British Legion volunteer.
