Story
Many years ago the Catto family ran hotels in both Aberdeen and Stonehaven. Latterly they owned one in Aberdeen's Riverside Drive. In the foyer, a dinner gong called diners to the table. Consisting of three brass artillery shell casings and mounted on a wooden frame the shell markings indicate that once fired, they had been sent to Canada for re-filling prior to being fired once again.
