Story
Born in Wolverhampton in 1883 to Paul & Jane (nee Morris Vice) Brothwood. In the 1901 census Edward, his father and brother Paul were all working at the Lysaght Iron works in Wolverhampton.
Edward moved to Newport in 1910 and married Mary Ann Brewer, the couple had a daughter Jane.
"Just to have seen and clasped his hand Before he was called to a better land His battles are o’er and God thought best To take him to a beautiful home to rest A long grave in France Where brave hero sleeps There’s a cottage home in England Where a mother site and weeps."
