Story
Frederick Ernest Long was the paternal grandfather of Sue Navias of Menston, Yorkshire. Frederick was a regular soldier in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment at the turn of the century and at the commencement of the First World War was consequently one of the first to go to Belgium.
He was killed by sniper fire at Prowse Point, near Pleogsteest Wood on 13th December, 1914.
