Story

Frederick was the oldest of two brothers born in Handsworth 1899 to Frederick George (an iron moulder) and Agnes Ellen Beesley. Frederick was a Private in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment (regiment number 381362) before joining the Kings (Liverpool) Regiment (regiment number 94130). He was killed in action on 16th April 1918. He is buried in Cabaret-Rouge, British Cemetery, Souchez, France and his name is on a memorial in Brendon, Devon. He is also on a memorial tablet in St James Church, Handsworth, Birmingham.
